At right is the “Factors” screen which allows you to enter a filter factor and specify close-up and/or depth of field calculation, if you want to.
Again, you can use the scrolling buttons to select a whole number for the filter factor or you can write it in the Graffiti area. The value defaults to 1 (which has no affect on the exposure) even though the field may indicate 0 or be empty.
If you’re working within close-up range—generally considered to be 8 focal lengths or less—tap the “Yes” close-up field and you’ll be given an opportunity to enter the subject distance, measured from the lensboard. The default measurement unit is “feet” but you may choose inches or meters by tapping on the appropriate fields. You may also ask the program to work with the bellows extension or the magnification ratio if you prefer. If you choose the bellows extension the “meters” measurement option changes to “millimeters.”
If you want the depth of field calculated tap on either the “Check” or “Choose” fields, then tap the “Next” button to proceed. If you’ve selected “Check” you’ll see the “Check DOF” screen.
